Well....here comes a deep subject. We really are at a loss for words right now. Frustrated is certainly one.

Put yourself in vulnerable situations and sooner or later the good some how turns in the wrong direction. As many of you know Charlie and I started this firewood stand last fall. As a self serve firewood stand. The outcome and praise that came from this stand helped so many people in and around our community. Families veterans folks who lived paycheck to paycheck that couldnt afford a full cord of firewood. When it was well below zero and folks needed just a small amount of wood this was the place to go. The amount of work and dedication keeping it full we have put into this cutting the wood and filling it when it was 10 degrees out or in the middle of a blizzard we were there filling it, not to mention the crazy hrs 6am often 7 or 8pm. We gave away multiple cords for family in need I was taught to always be kind and give a helping hand when needed. To me this wasn't a burden a job the joy I got from seeing and talking with customers picking up saying how wonderful this is with a huge smile. Some out of the blue turning around giveing a handshake, a hug some folks getting choked up eyes watering bc they could keep their homes warm for a few days/weeks.
Not a single complaint all year

So here comes the bad where the frustration kicks in the part where we decided to keep it open for the folks that came weekly. The one's that traveled from wells, waterboro, Acton, Shapleigh, newfield 20-30 min drive for something that fit their budget.

We started filling our self serve firewood stand again for the upcoming winter season, we understand many people's positions and realise it helps. We are trying to keep the cost affordable and not go up on our prices even though the expenses are considerably much higher this year just to try to serve our local community the best we can right.

Well it doesn't help when within the first week of filling it up and the weather cooling off where heat from the woodstove feels good in the morning and evening we run into a dishonest person right. Not a dishonest person trying to heat their home just to keep there family or new baby warm either.

This person was only interested in what it takes to buy OUR groceries heck the logs that we have to buy to keep this going. What do they do the break into the cashbox. They tried to bust the lock but couldn't so they busted the top. We do have camera like it states on the sign but the one time this happens the camera didnt go off due to internet connection

From here on out you all know this part of the story, we wont ALLOW ourselves to live through this multiple times. A couple hundred dollars went into someones pocket. Yes we check our cashbox often for this reason right here. Ik it was a couple hundred bc the largest bin was empty then some

Mural of this post not trying to be negative at all really but people need to know that this 1 person or maybe this person had a friend. . May becomes a bigger problem because the folks that actually want the firewood stand may have to find another way of finding a affortable way to heat their home. We will just stop the whole thing. So please if you think you know someone that did this, dont be afraid to give them a friendly reminder that the individual action can ruin it for everyone.

Thank you

This was our first large epoxy table. Thats how it all started. We've come a long ways from this piece. Learned from it and each piece gets better then the last. Love what you do, the passion helps make you grow to do better be better. Dont be afraid to try new things. To get to the next level you gotta learn to get comfortable by being uncomfortable.
