Our admin team had a great week of learning at Illuminate PD Week! Let’s light the way, Wildcats!

The Wilson Central Varsity Cheer team had a great week at UCA cheer camp at Vanderbilt. They won 1st place for camp cheer and 1st place for their spirit routine.

Congratulations to the following athletes for making All-American Cheerleader: Gigi Thomas, Hannah Dailey, Katie Krauss, Alayna Dwyer, Hallee Hanna, Karuna Thapa, Brynlyn Wright, Charley Robinson, Harper Graham, and Kerrington Berry.

We are thrilled to introduce our new head football coach, Coach Josh Knipfel, who is a true part of our Wildcat community. Having dedicated the last three seasons as an assistant coach and leading the offensive line, he brings valuable experience and passion to our team. With a rich background that includes playing college football at Iowa State and a year in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals, Coach Knipfel is ready to inspire our athletes and elevate our program. Together, we are poised for greatness at Wilson Central!

This weekend at the Spotlight Awards, Wilson County was honored with nominations in nearly every award category. Josiah Winston and Lily Berruto were both nominated for the Best Lead Performer award. While they did not take home the title, being selected as finalists and recognized on stage is an incredible achievement.

In front of a sold-out audience at TPAC, Wilson County was represented at the highest level throughout the evening with numerous nominations, a performance by MJHS, a collaborative performance with LHS and Smith County High School, and solo performances from Josiah Winston and Lily Berruto.
