THIS IS WHAT ACTION-ORIENTED LOOKS LIKE AT WCESC
This month, our supervisors helped paint a pretty clear picture of what it means to be Action-Oriented at WCESC.
It's seeing what needs to be done and getting to work.
It's recognizing a need and stepping up to meet it.
It's taking ownership and finding a way to make it happen.
It's removing barriers, finding solutions, and following through.
And it's taking action to support others—often without waiting to be asked.
Those aren't simply descriptions of an attribute. They're words our supervisors used to describe the August Champions for Children pictured here.
Across our programs and departments, these staff are turning needs into meaningful action. Sometimes that means tracking down hard-to-find equipment so students have the resources they need. Other times, it means creating a new program to give students opportunities to begin exploring their futures. And every day, it shows up in countless other ways—anticipating challenges, improving systems, supporting colleagues, connecting families with resources, and finding practical solutions that move the work forward.
Different roles. Different actions. One shared mindset:
