There's still time to buy tickets for Art + Soul! An amazing array of auction items will be available, including a trip for 4 to Disney and Sea World - Orlando, to Date Night for a Year, to original artwork and paintings. Blue Moose is catering, and a variety of heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served. General Admission is $50 / person; Reserved Seating is $100 / person. Make reservations at bidpal.net/cureofars. Hello Curé Families!

As we prepare to head back to school, the auction committee is also hard at work getting ready for the BIG EVENT on October 18th, 2013.

There are some items that we could still really use to make our auction the best one yet. If you know someone who might be able to donate, please contact Kerry Kerr mailto:[email protected] and she can follow up, or better yet, maybe you have access to these items!
- sports tickets - KU, Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC, etc. - keeping in mind that the auction is Oct. 18th
- sports memorabilia - autographed/framed, etc.
- event tickets - Kauffman Center, Sprint Center box seats, etc.
- parties hosted by school families - Ashley Murphy is coordinating these, please contact her if you can help host: mailto:[email protected]
- trips - if you have a timeshare, vacation home, etc., or if you have airline miles or hotel rewards points that you could donate to our cause, please contact Kerry at mailto:[email protected]
- "Art & Soul" items - original artwork, museum-type pieces, religious art, etc.

Our last item drop-off meeting will be Wed. September 4th in Fr. Burak room from 2:45-3:45pm. Or contact Kerry Kerr at 913-205-1294 to make other arrangements to drop off your items.

Remember, if every family gets ONE item donated to the auction, we will have an amazing event.

FUN FACTS ABOUT THIS YEAR'S AUCTION!!!

More cool donations coming in:

- FOUR VIP Tickets to a concert at KC Crossroads, donated by the Prenger family
- A trip for 4 to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, courtesy of Disney and your hard-working donations committee
- "Saige," the American Girl doll of the year, thank you American Girl
- Dry Cleaning for a year, plus other great stuff from Hangers Cleaners (Lena & Joe Runyan, owners)
- A kitchen set w/barstools from US Toy
- And don't forget that FULL SET of braces, donated by Dr. Dustin Burleson of Burleson Orthodontics ($5,230 value!)

Each grade has also put together some wonderful trips and other great packages from the gift gathering parties held in April. Here are a few highlights:

PreK - weeknight meal delivered to your home for a YEAR, yes, one year!
Kindergarten - personalized chef dinner for six
1st - KC Nights package
2nd - Health and wellness package
3rd - Trip to San Fran/Napa
4th/5th - Vegas, baby!
6th/7th - TBD

Save the Date: Monday, May 6th - Shopping at The Monogram Shop in OP from 10-5:30pm! It will be "Cure of Ars Day".

The Monogram shop will donate 10% of "Cure" sales to support the Cure of Ars School. This is a great time to stock up on graduation gifts, Mother's Day gifts, Summer Fun Accessories.

Mark your calendars to shop!!! Also, pass the word to all your shopping buddies and have all mention Cure of Ars when shopping!

Do You Suffer from FEAR OF FUNDRAISING?!!!

Well fear no more, the auction donations committee has a solution.

Our committee is always short of volunteers, so we thought we'd shake things up a bit for this auction. If every family at our school gets ONE item donated, we'll have an amazing auction. Of course, not too many people like to ask for donations, we understand that. But we all have friends and family who own businesses, or we have a favorite restaurant, shop, classes, etc. Just ask that one favorite person or place for a donation, chances are they will say YES, of course we can help.

There are donation forms in the school office. But wait, we've made it even easier for you! We've attached a sample request letter and a PDF file of the donation form to this bulletin so you can print or email it! How can you say no?

Questions or help needed, contact committee chair Kerry Kerr at 913.205.1294/[email protected], she is also there at pickup M-F. Also please let Kerry know who are you asking, so we make sure we don't duplicate efforts.
