🌟 Fab Administrator Friday Spotlight
Featuring: Shelly Kribs
St. Peter Family Medicine Residency Program — Olympia, WA
This week we’re celebrating Shelly Kribs, who has spent 8+ years strengthening family medicine education with leadership, creativity, and heart.
Shelly loves her work because of the people, the autonomy, the chance to teach, present, problem‑solve, and the joy of watching learners grow into faculty. She thrives with continuous learning, event planning, using her creativity, working with talented colleagues, enjoying one WFH day each week, and having her own sunny office.
💬 Shelly’s Advice for New Administrators
Be kind to yourself, stay open, and don’t give up.
Mistakes will happen — fix them, learn from them, and let them go.
Give yourself grace. Training truly takes 3+ years.
Lean on your team. Vulnerability builds connection.
Don’t assume negative intent.
🌼 Outside of GME
Shelly enjoys making jewelry, coloring, all kinds of art, staring at the trees, snuggling her daughter, movie nights with her husband, and meditating (when she remembers).
Help us celebrate Shelly — a creative, compassionate, and steady force in Family Medicine Administration.
