We traveled over to Hubbard Schools today to share some of the cool things we’ve worked on this year. Highlighting our competition robot, HHS students had the chance to shoot artifacts into a portable goal we constructed, drive our SponsorBot and FlipflopBot that uses a rack and pinion steering mechanism, and Connor was able to share his arcade game final project for robotics class which was a huge hit!

We hope to work with the students there next year as they venture into the world of as a rookie team for the ‘26-‘27 season, !

Well, , it’s been real. ✌️

We wrapped our year with our annual Bricksbie Awards ceremony (a combination of the obsession with The Dundies from The Office and our first year team building with LEGO). Congratulations to:

This morning, Ian, Elena, and Steven represented our group at the Trumbull County Educational Service Center Drone Racing League event at the new Warren Harding HS Student Wellness facility. We knew with the limited amount of time we had after our FTC robotics season and hosting the robotics expo at the Eastwood Mall that we could not complete the whole project, so we spent our time focusing on the Capture The Flag portion, relying on patience and a bit of luck at times! We went into the finals in 5th place (less than 10 seconds separated the top 6 teams)! A technical hiccup narrowed the available beacons to nine, and after a steady back and forth between us and Mineral Ridge, we lost a close match 5-4. Proud of our crew for displaying courage and skill, especially knowing we were coming into the competition with less flight time than others. Videos in the comments.

Our last event of the 25-26 season is Wednesday, The Bricksby’s (an homage to our first year team’s obsession with The Office and Legos). Coach Slifka will present the team with certificates and awards and Coach Wolford is cooking up our end of season tradition, TACOS!

What a day! A big thank you to our friends at the Eastwood Mall Complex for allowing us to come in and share some of the projects we have been working on all season long. Also, a huge shout out to Coach Tomko and the Sharon Robotics Teams and especially to Coach Vaughn and his Cloverleaf Robotics team for making the trip this morning! We had a GREAT turnout and were able to show off our robots to a very receptive crowd!

RoboVikes is winding down for the season, a couple of our students will be competing at the Trumbull County Drone Racing League in about two weeks and then we are knocking at summer’s door!

Tomorrow, we will be demonstrating this year’s FIRST Tech Challenge game, , with the Sharon Robotics Teams and Cloverleaf High School robotics team from 11-2. Stop by and see the action!

Super excited to share our video for ! Our team earned the Innovate Award at the KSU Qualifier for our vertical spinner and shooter design. Very proud of this year’s team and looking forward to next year already!

Jaxon is a first-year RoboVikes member on the Outreach Team and a 7th grader who stays active in chess club and soccer. In his free time, he enjoys gaming and reading. With dreams of becoming a YouTuber, Jaxon is excited to bring energy and personality to our team’s social media efforts.
