Do you struggle with knowing what to eat or how to prepare healthy meals for yourself or your family? This program might be for you. This is a six-session program focused on nutrition and preparing foods. It will include a session on cooking with an air fryer and using an instant pot.

This program, taught by Washington Co. HHS Educator Sonya Mitchell, is open to everyone and is FREE thanks to a grant from Purdue Extension Community Vitality. At each session, you will receive a meal kit with ingredients and a recipe. If you attend at least 5 of the 6 sessions, you will receive an air fryer at the last session.

Do you ever struggle with knowing what to eat or how to prepare healthy meals for yourself or your family? Nutrition Made Easy may be just what you need!

Purdue Extension – Scott County is offering this FREE six-session program focused on nutrition, healthy food preparation, and practical cooking skills. Participants will even learn about cooking with an air fryer and using an Instant Pot! 🍽️

Purdue Extension- Orange County will offer a ServSafe Food Manager Certification training and examination on Friday, August 14, 2026.

The one-day course provides food safety education for food service managers, employees, and business owners and fulfills Indiana requirements for Certified Food Protection Managers. Topics include foodborne illness prevention, personal hygiene, food storage, food preparation, sanitation, and pest management.

Participants who successfully complete the exam with a score of 70 percent or higher will receive a certification valid for five years.
