π¨ Leander Is Investing in Its Brand. Here Is What That Means for You. π¨
The City of Leander has approved a $39,500 contract with CivicBrand to develop a Community Brand Strategy. The goal is to shape how our city is presented to residents, businesses, visitors, and investors.
Branding is not just about a logo. It influences:
β’ Economic development
β’ Tourism and business recruitment
β’ Community identity
β’ Long-term city messaging
Over the next few months, CivicBrand will conduct surveys, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and on-site engagement on April 7 and 8.
This is where citizens matter.
If we want a brand that reflects the real Leander, including our priorities, concerns, and vision for the future, engaged residents need to pay attention and participate.
A community survey is expected to launch in March.
Focus groups and stakeholder meetings will follow.
Leander WINs will:
β Keep you informed about opportunities to participate
β Let you know when public surveys open
β Share updates on how this investment is progressing
β Highlight ways you can provide input
Our objective is simple. Keep citizens informed so you can engage when it counts. You may view the presentation here: https://leandertx.portal.civicclerk.com/event/843/files/attachment/6693
If you care about how Leander grows, develops, and represents itself, follow this page and stay tuned.
Transparency and participation build stronger cities. When citizens are informed and engaged, Leander WINs.

π¨π¨MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Leander just secured a game-changing partnership that will bring our city offices downtown to Northline while protecting taxpayers.
City Council approved agreements with Northline Development and St. John Properties to construct a 95,000 sq ft commercial office building. The City is providing a $4 million performance-based loan (repaid with interest over 20 years) thatβs tied to construction milestones. In return, we get 40,000 sq ft of leased space for City offices and Council Chambers for 10 years, PLUS the option to purchase land for a permanent City Hall.
This means we can expand services for residents without delaying critical infrastructure projects. It also frees up Old Town City Hall for redevelopment that keeps our historic area vibrant.
Real economic development strategies.

π§ Leander WINS Update on the Proposed Railroad Crossing Project π§
Leanderβs community feedback session on the proposed railroad grade-separation project at Crystal Falls Parkway and US 183 was well attended, and we were thrilled to see so many neighbors show up to engage on this important issue. This project, identified as a priority in the Cityβs US 183 Corridor Study, aims to improve safety and traffic flow by building an elevated rail structure over Crystal Falls Parkway, eliminating the current at-grade crossing and the long delays caused by trains. οΏΌ
Many thoughtful questions were asked by community members. Some of these questions will require deeper thought and careful answers, especially around funding (the preliminary project concept is tentatively estimated at about $103 million) and the long timeline before construction begins. οΏΌ
We hope the The City of Leander, Texas will invest the time and resources to produce an FAQ sheet that clearly addresses these questions so everyone in Leander can understand how this project could reshape our city, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance safety for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. οΏΌ
Leander WINS supports thoughtful growth and transparent communication. Thanks to everyone who participated in the session; your voice matters! Letβs keep the conversation going and ensure this project is one that benefits our entire community.
