Thank you to everyone for a wonderful 2025-2026 year. We accomplished so much together!

Even though it’s the last week of school, we’re still celebrating our Parr staff! We made sure to show some appreciation for our Speech Superheroes and Lunch Monitors. These ladies are so hardworking and make Parr a better place. Thank you for all you do! ❤️🤍💙

We are looking for Parr family members to serve on the PTA board next year! We have a wide range of committee chair positions available, and they vary greatly in time commitment. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there is a role for you. Every bit of involvement makes a difference for our students and our school!

REMINDER 🗓️ Our final General Meeting will take place next Wednesday, May 20 at 6:30 PM. This our big meeting of the year where we will be awarding scholarships, special purchases, lifetime awards, and more. This date was recently changed, and we apologize for any confusion!

Let's hear it for the AWARD WINNING Parr PTA! 🏆

We are so proud to share that Ralph Parr Elementary PTA has earned TEN Texas PTA Membership Awards this school year - and none of it would have been possible without YOU!

Here's what we accomplished together:

🐦 Early Bird - We submitted at least 100% of last year's membership total by September 30

📈 Snappy Increase - We surpassed last year's membership total by October 31

⭐ Shining Star - We hit 101% of our membership total and stayed in good standing by November 30

🍎 Golden Apple - We recruited 100% of our school faculty as PTA members by December 19

🎉 Welcome Back - We welcomed 10 new members in January

🎓 Student Membership - We recruited at least 50 student members

📚 Student Involvement - We went above and beyond engaging our students in PTA

🤝 Community Membership - We recruited at least 15 community members

🚀 MARS Membership - We recruited at least 50 male members to get the dads and men in our community involved

🌳 Generations Membership - We recruited at least 50 grandparent and extended family members

We want to thank every family, staff member, and community supporter who joined this year! We also want to thank everyone who volunteered their time and/or financial support. Your involvement and support is what makes all of this happen.

And a huge, well-deserved shoutout to our VP of Membership, Kate Marici! Kate put in so much work growing our membership this year, along with starting our Student PTA. These awards are a direct reflection of her dedication.

Summer is right around the corner and back to school time will be here before you know it. Take school supply shopping off your to do list and order online today! All orders will be shipped directly to the school in the beginning of August making it even easier! Ordering is open until June 15.

Final Day of our WICKED OZ-SOME Teacher Appreciation Week: we hid some magical ducks, wands, and broomsticks around the school.

Those that found them were awarded with fun prizes! Thank you to everyone who donated gift cards - everyone who found a duck got one! We also had some win Stanleys, a Bogg Bag, and a Woodhouse Spa Gift Card!

It sure was a wonderful week celebrating our amazing teachers and staff!!! 🩷💚

We love spoiling our Parr staff and hope they know they have changed our kids’ lives FOR GOOD. 🩷💚🧹🫧

Our Student PTA gathered this morning for an end of year celebration! This has been a wonderful addition to Parr, and has given students the opportunity to lead and have a voice for their school.

One of our student PTA members, Paisley, read this speech at our school character rally, and it really does sum up what an impact they’ve made this year!

“This year, we worked together and really synergized—that means we combined our strengths to do bigger and better things, just like we learn in Leader in Me. Because of that teamwork, we made cards for veterans at a veterans hospital to say thank you for their service. We decorated a holiday tree at a nursing home to spread joy to others. And we organized a supply drive for 3 Little Pitties, helping care for dogs and cats who need safe, loving homes.

Student PTA isn’t just about meetings—it’s about making a difference, helping others, and being a leader in our school and community.

Let’s keep working together, helping others, and showing what Parr Elementary leaders can do!”
