Le Sueur Nursery School

Le Sueur Nursery School We have been proudly serving preschoolers and their families for more than 70 yrs. Who Are We? The Le Sueur Nursery school began in 1948 in a church basement.

In 1952 the school moved into their own building with a grant from the David and Arthur Cosgrove Memorial Foundation. In March 1999, a new facility was built (again with a grant from the Cosgrove Foundation). The new facility gave us:
*safety with a lightly traveled street
*residential location
*big beautiful windows
*spacious, warm, welcoming, modern classroom
The Le Sueur Nursery School is

a private preK school that is not affiliated with any religious denomination. Our Morning Class is Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for children ages 3 and 4 yrs. Old
Our Afternoon Class is Monday - Friday for Prek children ages 4 and 5 yrs. Old
Our School Year Programs run September - May

Transportation
Parents arrange transportation using several options:
* MN River Valley Transit
*Carpools
*Family

Our Tuition includes School Supplies, Art Supplies and Snack Supplies.

Today was our final day for this year’s Summer Camp. Each friend was able to decorate a jungle animal mask and they were also given a safari hat and vest of their own to take home. We had a wonderful week having fun and learning about what we would see on a safari. Thank you to all of the families that participated in this year’s camp!

What a fun day we had at camp today! We were treated to a visit from Ruth & Pete Schoeppner. They very recently returned from an African Safari expedition. They came and showed us pictures and shared with us the many interesting and fascinating things that they learned on their trip. They brought each friend a hand carved wooden zebra from Africa. They also brought a safari animal memory game for the class from Tanzania. Today was elephant day and the pictures they sent us were so on point. Ruth & Pete are the grandparents of two of our campers, so that helped make the best memories!! Thank you so much Ruth & Pete. We are excited for our final day of camp tomorrow!!🐘

Day 2 of Let’s go on a Safari Camp was fun filled with everything giraffes! We painted giraffes and made jungle animal beaded necklaces. We have shared new books about jungle animals together. One of our favorite parts of each day is the Did you know facts about each animal. Our friends know a whole lot!!🦁🦒🌴

Today we kicked off Summer Camp 2026. We are going on a Safari adventure! Today, We learned about Lions. We are looking forward to making many memories together this week. We would also like to thank Treasures in Town for the generous grant to help make this camp experience possible.

Today, all six of our cocoons finally hatched. On Friday, two had hatched and when we came to school this morning we had the final surprise. We placed them in our flower garden and hopefully they will find their way out of the butterfly house soon. Thank you to Rachel for providing us with this wonderful experience again this year!!🦋
