Six LeRoy FFA members attended the University of Illinois Greenhand Conference in Champaign-Urbana this past week!

Members had the opportunity to discover their own strengths and abilities as leaders, develop their leadership skills, and connect with fellow FFA members from across the state. It was a great opportunity for our newest members to grow, learn, and see all the opportunities that FFA has to offer!

Tonight, 7 LeRoy FFA members attended the Section 9 Leadership Training School (LTS), hosted by the Section 9 Officer Team at Tri-Valley High School!

Our members had the opportunity to hear an inspiring keynote from Illinois FFA State Reporter Haven Cash, participate in breakout sessions designed to take their leadership abilities to the next level, and have a little fun along the way!

A big thank you to Tri-Valley FFA for hosting a great evening and to the Section 9 Officer Team for putting together a valuable experience for our members!

We participated in the Soils/Land Use Contest today. We had to climb down into soils pits and evaluate their agricultural as well as homesite suitability. Everyone learned a lot!

It was JACKET DAY today for our FFA chapter! Thank you to the LeRoy FFA Alumni for sponsoring jackets and ties/scarves for our new members each year! The future looks as bright as the blue corduroy on these jackets!!!

Peyton and Maddie attended the Elite Conference today at Richland Community College. They saw some of the aspects of being an Ag Teacher. They created lesson plans and listened as a panel of Ag teachers answered their questions.

We had 7 LeRoy FFA members participate in the Monticello Forestry Invite at the 4-H Memorial Campground at Allerton Park in Monticello!

Students put their forestry skills to work by identifying and measuring trees, completing a compass tracking course, and participating in several other hands-on forestry activities.

We love seeing our members getting outside, learning new skills, and representing LeRoy FFA!

Our FFA members had a great day showing at the Section 9 FFA Fair today! Kelson Kuipers and Waylon Jiles showed rabbits and William & Ella Mennenga showed their goats. Thank you to all of the family members, friends, etc. who helped our members develop and maintain their projects so they could show today!

Emmy Elmore & Claire Kuipers will be spending the week at Allerton Park in Monticello for Illinois FFA Leadership Camp. Have a great time ladies!

We didn't get many pictures today, but we did get to participate in electing the 2026-2027 Illinois FFA Officer Team! We grabbed some lunch on the way home and made it home in plenty of time to beat the weather!

Convention Day #2-Today our members were recognized for our foundation drive collection. Thanks to the generous support of the LeRoy Community, we were in the top 15 chapters in the state of Illinois! We also got to see some retiring addresses with powerful messages. This afternoon Claire Kuipers, Chase Steege and Macy Dean officially received their state FFA degrees. Afterward we headed to Knights Action Park for some go-karts and mini-golf. Tomorrow we get to help elect the next major state officer team!
