Our FFA members had a great day showing at the Section 9 FFA Fair today! Kelson Kuipers and Waylon Jiles showed rabbits and William & Ella Mennenga showed their goats. Thank you to all of the family members, friends, etc. who helped our members develop and maintain their projects so they could show today!

Emmy Elmore & Claire Kuipers will be spending the week at Allerton Park in Monticello for Illinois FFA Leadership Camp. Have a great time ladies!

We didn't get many pictures today, but we did get to participate in electing the 2026-2027 Illinois FFA Officer Team! We grabbed some lunch on the way home and made it home in plenty of time to beat the weather!

Convention Day #2-Today our members were recognized for our foundation drive collection. Thanks to the generous support of the LeRoy Community, we were in the top 15 chapters in the state of Illinois! We also got to see some retiring addresses with powerful messages. This afternoon Claire Kuipers, Chase Steege and Macy Dean officially received their state FFA degrees. Afterward we headed to Knights Action Park for some go-karts and mini-golf. Tomorrow we get to help elect the next major state officer team!

Day 1 of State Convention: we ran into some old friends, made some new ones and we or course made our way to Scheels. It's a law when you are in Springfield!

Our FFA members truly enjoyed putting on an educational experience for our elementary students today. Elementary students got to plant a sunflower, learn about tractor safety and learn about sheep, goats, horses, and cows. They also got to ride pedal tractors and pretend to be farmers themselves. We would like to thank LES for allowing us to do this event, the FFA members and families for providing animals, the McLaughlin family for allowing us to use their pedal tractors, and Birkey's for providing the use of the big tractors today. We wouldn't have had such a wonderful experience without all of your support!

Due to an AMAZING turnout this past weekend our upcoming plant sale hours will be condensed to:

Saturday, May 2nd from 7:30-9:30am

We still have a limited supply of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, cantaloupe, cabbage, broccoli, and annual flowers. Come check our greenhouse out before plants are gone.
