🧹✨ Our nursery class had so much fun celebrating Room on the Broom Day! 🧙‍♀️📚

We used our felt board to sequence the story, practiced our fine motor skills by threading beads to create our very own brooms, and got creative decorating witch hats! 🎨

During centers, we made our very own witches and practiced shape recognition as we “fed” different shapes into the cauldron. 🔺🟡🟩🧙‍♀️

It was a magical day filled with creativity, learning, and lots of fun! 💜🧹✨

🧯🚒 Learning about fire safety is always better when you can see it in action! 🚒🧯

Our Pre-K students took a walk over to the LeRoy Fire Department for a very special visit! They were so excited to learn about fire safety and what firefighters do to help keep our community safe. ❤️

The children watched the firefighters get dressed in all of their protective gear, explored the fire trucks, and even had the chance to hold a real fire hose! They also went home with a fun bag of goodies to help continue the fire safety conversation at home. 🧑‍🚒🔥

When we returned to the classroom, the learning continued! The children practiced “putting out fires” on our chalkboard and used their imaginations to pretend they were firefighters driving their very own fire trucks. 🚒👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

A huge THANK YOU to the courageous volunteer firefighters at the LeRoy Fire Department for welcoming our little learners, answering their questions, and teaching them such important lessons about fire safety. We are so grateful for all you do to protect and serve our community! ❤️

What an exciting day filled with learning, hands-on experiences, and lots of big smiles! 🧯🚒❤️

We absolutely love seeing their adorable fall creations brightening up downtown. There’s just something special about displaying artwork made by our community’s littlest artists! 🍁🍬

A big THANK YOU to our Sunshine families and our community for another successful mums sale! We had a record breaking number of mums sold (over 600)! We are proud to call LeRoy our home. We’re looking forward to a fun, successful school year!

Our Monday and Tuesday playgroup classes have gotten off to a great start! We had a great week learning about apples! We worked hard on fine motor skills with tweezing up our Pom Pom apples and sorting them by color in our sensory bin, and “picking” apples out of our playdoh tree! We found our worm behind our apples on our felt board. We even painted our own apples! After snack we danced it out and learned new movements with our playsilks to “way up high in the apple tree”! 🍎

✏️ Our First Two Weeks of Pre-K! ✏️

It’s hard to believe we’ve already finished our first two weeks of Pre-K! These little learners have been busy getting to know our classroom, making new friends, learning routines, and discovering that learning can be so much fun! 💛

Over the past two weeks, we have:

🖍️ Practiced creating and extending patterns with crayons
🧴 Learned how to properly use our classroom supplies while making our very own glue bottle craft
🎨 Created beautiful “All About Me” collages that celebrate what makes each of us special
🔢 Worked on number identification and counting while playing our fun School Stew game
🦔 Created an adorable fall hedgehog craft that will soon be on display at our Town Hall! 🍂

Most importantly, we’ve been learning how to be a classroom family—helping one another, trying new things, sharing, listening, and having lots of fun along the way. 🥰

We are already so proud of how much our Pre-K friends have grown in just two short weeks. We can’t wait to see where this year takes us! 🍎📚✨

It’s been a great start to school for our Nursery friends! Today we focused on colors. We read The Five Colorful Crayons and used our felt board to help bring the story to life. We then went on a crayon hunt, searching through our colorful sensory bin and identifying each crayon as we worked to “fill up” our crayon boxes!
We also had fun creating our very own stories about crayons. It was a colorful day filled with creativity, storytelling, and lots of learning!

✨ Our First Day of Pre-K! ✨

And just like that… our Pre-K year has begun! 💛

Today was filled with so many little moments that made our hearts happy. We explored our classroom, met new friends, found familiar faces, and began learning what makes our classroom feel like our special place. 🥰

We introduced our circle time routine, practiced our calendar, counted together, and enjoyed our first story, The Pigeon Has to Go to School! 📚🐦 We learned our Play-Doh routine and spent time creating, imagining, and getting comfortable with our new friends and surroundings. And, of course, we created beautiful 1st Day of Pre-K crowns! 👑

Today, we saw curious minds, sweet friendships beginning, brave little faces trying something new, and so many beautiful personalities shining through. We can already see how much potential this group has, and we cannot wait to watch them grow—not only academically, but in confidence, kindness, independence, and friendship. 🌱💛

Thank you for sharing your children with us. Here’s to a year full of learning, laughter, growing, memories, and so many little moments we’ll treasure.
