It was a very good day for the band students who performed at the IHSMA Solo/Ensemble Contest at Woodbury Central today! Here are the results:

Last Tuesday, February 7th, the Jazz Band competed at the Morningside Jazz Festival held at Morningside University in Sioux City! While we did not place top 3, we received plenty of feedback and encouraging words from our judges! The Jazz Band will compete at the NWIBA Jazz Festival on Monday, February 20th, at LeMars Community HS at 9:15am! We will also be performing at our annual POPS concert next Friday, February 24th, to close out our jazz band season!

Our final days in San Diego were spent at Seaworld, aboard a San Diego Harbor cruise, and touring the U.S.S. Midway Museum! What a great way to end this amazing trip! Thank you San Diego! See you all in 2023!

What an amazing experience we had at the Holiday Bowl last night at Petco Park! From performing during halftime to meeting Oregon players, spotting NFL icons, watching an exciting game, and postgame fireworks, we couldn’t have asked for a much more memorable event for all involved!

We are inside Petco Park ready for the Holiday Bowl! Cannot complain about our seats, or the weather! Shout out to the Oregon Ducks Marching Band for being so supportive of our young players! Kickoff at 5pm PST (7pm CST)!

We had a ton of fun marching in the SDCCU Holiday Bowl parade, even if we are now called the “Morning Jays”. Thanks to all who watched online! Stay tuned for the Holiday Bowl Halftime Show!

Day 1: We made it to San Diego! After many hours on the bus, we were able to enjoy some sights and sounds of this beautiful city! We started atop Mt. Soledad-Veteran's Memorial for some AMAZING views of the Pacific Ocean and Downtown San Diego. We then traveled to Coronado High School for a mass rehearsal will all the other bands. We ended our day at Mission Beach/Belmont Park for some fun at the beach and in the amusement park! We are tired, but grateful and blessed for our time together!
