Meet our 2026–2027 FFA Officers! 💙💛
Now that our officers have been introduced, they’re taking a moment to discuss this year’s FFA theme: “Go Beyond.”

But what does “Go Beyond” mean to us? It means pushing past what’s expected, stepping outside of your comfort zone, taking on new challenges, and discovering just how far you can go. 🚀

Our officers are ready to lead, grow, and inspire others to “Go Beyond” throughout the year.

Hey there Le Grand FFA! I’m Nathan Zarate and it is truly an honor and privilege to be serving as your 2026-2027 Chapter President!
I am a senior and a 4th year FFA member here at LGHS. My SAE throughout high school has been showing swine at the Merced County Fair. I am also a part of the Vet Science CDE team and compete in the Job Interview LDE event.
When not at school or participating in FFA I things I enjoy doing are playing baseball, fishing, hanging out with friends, and walking.
As your president I hope to make the most out of this year and serve to the best of my abilities. High school goes by fast, so I want to help the members, my fellow officers, and myself make memories that will last a lifetime!

What’s going on Le Grand FFA! My name is Cooper Johnstone, and I am so excited to serve as your 2026-2027 Chapter Vice President. I am a Junior and a 3rd year FFA member. My SAE project is Breeding swine to be sold to local FFA and 4H groups to be exhibited at county fairs. I am also a part of our Livestock judging team.🐷
When I’m not in the FFA jacket I enjoy watching movies, sports, and fishing. 🎣🏈🎬
I am so excited to get to make new lasting memories!

What’s up, Le Grand FFA! 💙 My name is Julia Borges, and I am so excited to serve as your Chapter Secretary for the 2026–2027 school year! I’m a junior and a 3rd-year FFA member. My SAE project is showing swine at the Chowchilla and Merced County Fairs, and I’m also a part of the Livestock Judging Team.
When I’m not wearing the blue jacket, I love to bake for my friends or play volleyball! 🐷🏐🧁
I’m so excited for this year and all of the memories we’ll make! 💙✨

Hello! My name is Alejandro Ibarra, and I’m your Chapter Treasurer! I’m a 4th-year FFA member and a senior. I’m a member of the Vet Science and Ag Mechanics CDE teams and have experience showing both a pig and a rabbit at our local county fairs. I also have experience using the plasma table and making and painting signs. I’m excited for an amazing year and can’t wait to see what this year brings!

Hey Le Grand FFA! My name is Katie Cardoza, I am a 4th year FFA member and senior this year at LGHS and I’m proud to be serving as your 2026-2027 Chapter Reporter this year! 🇺🇸📸
My SAE is sheep showing, where I get to raise, care for, train, and show my animals at our local county fairs. Showing sheep has taught me so much about responsibility, dedication, patience, and the importance of hard work!🐑💙
I’m also a proud member of our Veterinary Science CDE Team 🩺🐾, where I get to grow my knowledge and skills in animal science while competing alongside some amazing FFA members!
As your Reporter, I can’t wait to capture ALL the fun, excitement, accomplishments, and unforgettable memories our chapter makes this year! 📸🔥 From chapter events and competitions to community service and everything in between, I’ll be there to make sure our FFA family’s hard work gets recognized and shared!

My name is Leah McKay, and I am so thankful and excited to serve as your 2026–2027 Chapter Sentinel! 💙🚪⭐️

I am a 3rd-year FFA member and a junior at our high school. My judging team is Livestock Judging, and my SAE project is showing swine at the Chowchilla and Merced County Fairs. 🐷

A fun fact about me is that I will NEVER turn down a cold Coca-Cola! 🥤❤️

Hello! My name is Juliana Carvalho, and I’m so excited to be serving as your 2026–2027 Chapter Historian! 💛
I’m a junior at Le Grand High School. My SAE projects include taking care of poultry and showing market swine. I’m also a member of our school’s Vet Science team! 🐷🐾

Outside of FFA, I enjoy playing goalie for Chowchilla Magic. This year, I hope to make your FFA experience , fun, and full of great memories! ⚽️

That’s a wrap at CYAE! Our Fabrication Team successfully completed their trailer during their very first competition. They gained valuable experience, learned new skills, and are already looking forward to their next competition. We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication!

Wishing our Fabrication Team the best of luck as they compete at the California Youth Ag Expo (CYAE) in Tulare! They are working together to complete a Santa Maria-Style BBQ Trailer that must be completed in two days. Great job Bulldogs!
