This week, the students of Shoreline Jr. High came together to honor, remember, and reflect on the events of September 11, 2001.

❤️ Our History classes placed 2,977 flags outside our school--one for each life lost on September 11--and took time to remember the names and stories behind that number.

🤍 Our 8th graders attended a powerful 9/11 Museum experience presented by the Major Brent Taylor Foundation, giving them an opportunity to learn, reflect, and better understand a day that occurred before they were born.

💙 Students throughout the school also wrote messages of unity, gratitude, and hope, sharing what it means to come together as a community and to remember those who were lost.

For our students, 9/11 is history--but today was an opportunity to help them understand that remembrance keeps stories alive, gratitude honors sacrifice, and unity continues to matter.

We are proud of the thoughtful and respectful way our Sharks honored this important day.
