Seniors who have been awarded a scholarship will receive a scholarship pin that they will be able to wear on their gown during the graduation ceremony. These students will be acknowledged during the graduation ceremony. In order for the students to receive a scholarship pin, we have asked them to complete a form along with documentation of the award and bring it to Mrs. Larkin in Student Services. This Thursday, May 22, during tutorial we will be handing out scholarship certificates and scholarship pins in the auditorium. Please inform/remind your student to come pick up these items so that they may be recognized for their achievements during the graduation ceremony.
Thank you for your support!

Message from the University of Utah Admissions Dept.:

As a reminder, we require each student to secure his or her spot in the upcoming class by paying an Enrollment Deposit. We're working hard to remind both accepted students and high school counselors of the due date.

The $150 Enrollment Deposit, which counts towards a student's first year of tuition, is due by May 1, 2014.

Please note, the deposit must be paid before students can register for New Student Orientation or enroll in classes. Incoming freshmen who are planning to defer must also pay the Enrollment Deposit by the May 1 deadline. If you have students for whom the deposit may be a financial burden, they can request an extension if they have submitted their FAFSA and are eligible to receive a Pell Grant.

Students can visit our Enrollment Deposit web page for details on how to pay, how to update account information, or request an extension.

Sincerely,
The Office of Admissions

On February 5, 2014 Weber State University will be holding their annual “Wildcat Welcome”. This is a fantastic transition into college activity for high school seniors. Students will be able to claim their scholarship offers, experience campus, explore majors & win prizes while planning a future at WSU. In order to help students take advantage of this opportunity, chaperoned school buses will be provided to transport students to and from Weber State University. The buses will leave Northridge High at 7:45 a.m. and return to NHS in time for lunch. Students should meet at the knight statue in the commons at 7:30 in order to ride the bus.
At this event, scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who have a 105 index score or higher and have met the January 13th scholarship application deadline. Students who are not competing for scholarships are also welcome to attend this transition into college activity.
Each student participating in this fieldtrip must pay a $5.00 nonrefundable bus fee, and return the parent permission slip to student services due before January 31st. Participating students will receive a school excused absence. Students who provide their own transportation to WSU must be excused from school by their parents plus pay for their own travel and parking.
