Layton High School Orchestra

I have a big change/announcement to make. I have accepted the orchestra position at Viewmont HS and Centerville JH. After 18 years, it breaks my heart to be leaving my wonderful program, students, families, and colleagues at Layton HS and Central Davis JH. For the longevity of my career and time/logistics with family, I needed something closer to home.
I am excited about the new possibilities at Viewmont and Centerville and I am happy that I don't even have to get on the freeway.
My finale concert with LHS and CDJH will be May 18th at 7:00p.m. at LHS. I'd love to see you there as long as you don't mind seeing me blubber like an idiot.
The new orchestra director will be Edwin Kilifi Brown and I think the kids will love him.

Come to our Fiddle Fest tomorrow! The orchestras are sounding awesome and our guest performers Aaron Ashton and Colin Botts are amazing. It will be a fun show for the whole family!

Bree Fotheringham class of 16' is playing a mvmt from the Sibelius Violin Concerto at Salute to Youth with the Utah Symphony on Tuesday Sept. 27th at Abravenal Hall. Come and support her and see some of your orchestra friends. Tickets are $12.

My dearest, most wonderful cellos, please don't forget, we have a sectional tomorrow morning, (Tuesday morning) at 7:45. I'm sorry to wake you up early and make you bring instruments on a B day. Hopefully you all can make it, and please do so it isn't just 2 people there. Thanks guys! You're the best!

Hey Orchestra, Tailgating party tomorrow before the game! It's at 5:30 in the parking lot by the baseball diamond. I will have donuts, there's going to be hot dogs and drinks provided by all of the clubs as well. If you want to bring anything, you can, but just bring yourself and have fun! And go to the game! It's going to be awesome! Seriously!

A great huge thank you to everyone who helped with hall decorating. It turned out awesomely! Way to set up on amazing year guys!
