Field Trip Fun at Cross R. Ranch!

Our 2nd graders had an amazing day this week exploring and learning at Cross R. Ranch! 🐄🌻

They put their classroom learning into action as they discovered the difference between living and nonliving things, learned about plants and how corn mazes are created, and even got to explore a corn maze of their very own! 🌽🧭

The fun continued with visits to see the farm animals and plenty of time to explore all the exciting activities the ranch had to offer—including a slide, obstacle course, corn pit, giant LEGO building, jump pads, and so much more!

And, of course, no fall field trip would be complete without a pumpkin! 🎃 Each student got to pick out a pumpkin to take home and keep—the perfect way to remember a fantastic day!

We’re so thankful for the opportunity to learn, explore, play, and make wonderful memories together! 🍂❤️

If your student would like to dress up for Halloween on Friday, October 30th and participate in the school parade, please be sure to follow the guidelines. Many classes will also participate in a walking field trip over to Fairfield Village to show off their costumes to the residents.

We appreciate your help in making this a fun, safe, and enjoyable celebration for all of our students! If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or the front office at 801-402-3300.

Thank you for your support and cooperation! 🎃

🌎Science came to life today! 🐠
Our 6th graders had an awesome visit from Loveland Living Planet Aquarium! Students learned all about ecosystems and the amazing pieces that work together to create the environments we live in.

We love learning beyond the classroom and discovering how everything in our world is connected! 🌿🦋🐟

📚✨ What a wonderful day at King Elementary! ✨📚
Today, our students participated in the statewide Read-a-Thon and celebrated the joy of reading in so many fun ways! Students enjoyed reading their favorite books, listening to stories from special guest readers and teachers, relaxing with cozy blankets, and enjoying some fun treats. Many students even joined in on the fun with a pajama day! 🧸📖

It was a day filled with stories, smiles, and a whole lot of reading! We love seeing our students get excited about books and building a lifelong love of reading. ❤️📚
