Hi! I’m Rimsha, and I’m a junior at the University of Utah studying Psychology on the pre-med track. I have been a part of HOSA for 3 years, and have served as an officer for 2 years. I am the current president of the HOSA chapter at the U. I love how HOSA provides a space for professional development for all pre-health tracks as well as other fields that overlap with health sciences. I’ve met some amazing people through HOSA who have similar goals and aspirations as me, and I have been able to get tremendous support in my pre-med from HOSA. I am very excited to provide a space for students to grow professionally and connect to like minded peers in the community!

Bio: In my time in HOSA, I've had the opportunity to grow through meeting inspiring people, working in competitions, and finding my place in a supportive community dedicated to healthcare and learning. I've watched both myself and my peers change and grow through the lessons we've learned in the past two years. However, I also know that much of this came from the resources and connections I was given by my school, chapter, and environment. I also know that there are so many other students with the same mindset, same goals, and same ambition as me, only without the same resources and support. So, as a state officer, my goal is to expand HOSA's reach and impact, especially to the chapters that are newer or more isolated. My goal is to ensure every HOSA member in the state of Utah has access to the same resources and opportunities, regardless of where they live or how big their chapter is.

Hi! I’m Melanie Wang and I’m a junior at Skyline High School! I’ve been in HOSA since my freshman year and I’m currently one of my chapter’s publicity officers.

I love HOSA because I’m able to make memories with my friends, meet new people, and compete at ILC. Being a part of this club has given me the opportunity to grow as a person and explore the medical field, where I’m hoping to pursue a career. Outside of HOSA, I like playing piano, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. I’m excited to see where this year takes me!
