The annual 6th Grade vs. Staff kickball game was one for the books! ๐ŸฅŽ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Our 6th graders came out swinging, kicking, and RUNNING the bases like pros โ€” dominating their way to an unforgettable 52โ€“5 victory over the staff! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ‘ The staff may need a few ice packsโ€ฆ and maybe a rematch next year ๐Ÿ˜‚

Absolute MVP behavior from the entire 6th grade class! ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸฅŽ

And can we talk about the cutest cheering section ever?! ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ“ฃ Our younger students brought so much energy and excitement from the sidelines and made the whole event even more fun.

At Layton Elementary, our admins are truly part of the FOUNDATION of our school. Honestly, the place might crumble without them! ๐Ÿ’™ There are not enough words to express how much they do for our students, staff, and families every single day.
โœจ Mrs. Teague has been part of the Layton family for years, teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade for 7 years before stepping into administration. She LOVES traveling โ€” especially when it involves watching her kids play soccer โšฝ๏ธ โ€” and she is counting down the days until the World Cup this summer! ๐ŸŒŽ She could probably survive on tacos ๐ŸŒฎ and sushi ๐Ÿฃ alone, and if thereโ€™s music or a concert involved, sheโ€™s all in! ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽค
โšก Mr. Campbell is basically the celebrity of recess! The students LOVE when he has time to head out to the playground and join the fun. Heโ€™s been in education for 13 years and loves working with the amazing students at Layton. Heโ€™s also a huge Harry Potter fan โšก๐Ÿ“š and enjoys reading, traveling, and bringing energy and positivity everywhere he goes!
We are so lucky to have these two incredible leaders helping make Layton Elementary such a special place every day! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Itโ€™s hard to believe these amazing kids are almost saying goodbye to elementary school. Weโ€™ve watched them grow, learn, laugh, and become leaders โ€” and now theyโ€™re ready to unlock a brand new chapter in middle school! ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ“š

Good luck, future middle schoolersโ€ฆ we know youโ€™re going to do amazing things! ๐Ÿ’ซ

๐ŸŒ‹๐Ÿซง Do bubbles come out of volcanoes?! ๐Ÿค” After some research, our students decidedโ€ฆ probably not โ€” but wouldnโ€™t that be AWESOME?! ๐Ÿ˜„ This week, our students took on TWO exciting science projects! ๐ŸŒŸ First, they learned all about volcanoes and even built their own erupting models. ๐ŸŒ‹๐Ÿ’ฅ Then, they switched gears and experimented with bubble solutions, testing which mixtures made the best bubbles while learning about surface tension. ๐Ÿซง๐Ÿ”ฌ From explosive eruptions to floating bubbles, our students had so much fun exploring science through hands-on learning and creativity!
