A piano arrangement of the beloved LDS Primary Song, "A Child's Prayer," written by Janice Kapp Perry. Arranged and performed by Chelsey Joy.

Free download of the sheet music (arranged as a piano duet): http://chelseyjoymusic.blogspot.com/2018/05/a-childs-prayer-piano-duet-free-pdf.html

This is an instrumental version only, but these are the lyrics:

Heavenly Father, are you really there?
And do you hear and answer ev’ry child’s prayer?
Some say that heaven is far away,
But I feel it close around me as I pray.
Heavenly Father, I remember now
Something that Jesus told disciples long ago:
“Suffer the children to come to me.”
Father, in prayer I’m coming now to thee.

Pray, he is there;
Speak, he is list’ning.
You are his child;
His love now surrounds you.
He hears your prayer;
He loves the children.
Of such is the kingdom, the kingdom of heav’n.

This is an instrumental version, but here are the original lyrics:

Bring a torch, Jeanette, Isabella!
Bring a torch, to the stable call
Christ is born. Tell the folk of the village
Jesus is born and Mary's calling.
Ah!* Ah! beautiful is the Mother!
Ah! Ah! beautiful is her child

Who is that, knocking on the door?
Who is it, knocking like that?
Open up, we've arranged on a platter
Lovely cakes that we have brought here
Knock! Knock! Open the door for us!
Knock! Knock! Let's celebrate!

It is wrong when the child is sleeping,
It is wrong to talk so loud.
Silence, now as you gather around,
Lest your noise should waken Jesus.
Hush! Hush! see how he slumbers;
Hush! Hush! see how fast he sleeps!

Softly now unto the stable,
Softly for a moment come!
Look and see how charming is Jesus,
Look at him there, His cheeks are rosy!
Hush! Hush! see how the Child is sleeping;
Hush! Hush! see how he smiles in dreams!

New music and video out now.

This one holds a special place in my heart. I've loved this song since I first heard it just under a year ago. Of Monsters and Men filmed a live performance of it close to where I live. All the footage in this video was shot at that same location - and I hope this small tribute adds something special.

Piano and instrumental cover version of "Organs," originally by Of Monsters and Men. For lyric follow along, turn on closed captions. Buy this song for $0.50...
