William Gray, Class of '73, passed away yesterday in Oklahoma City. Memorial services are pending. His ashes will be laid to rest at the Fort Sill National Cemetery. Heartfelt condolences and prayers for Bill's family.

William Joe Wright left this life 11 AUG 2024, 15 days before his 73rd birthday (26 AUG 24}. He left behind his son William Wright and daughter Jessica Woodall, their spouses, & one grandchild. He was born to Pauline Colglazier Wright & Billy Davidson (both deceased), & later had a stepfather, Frank Wright (deceased). He had one younger half-sister LS Wright.
Bill was born in the era of pregnancy drugs to help ease nausea in mothers that caused physical birth defects in the babies, and he was one such case. His own father rejected him, but he found a new more caring family with his mother's and his stepdad's family.
Although he had limitations, he was able to do much, even with missing body parts.
He graduated from Augsburg High School in Germany, but spent time at Lawton High School, as well as attending Cameron University. He taught at Great Plains Technology Center in Lawton up until his retirement.
Hobbies included model cars (which looked quite real with his paint jobs) and debating in high school. He also did a few years of square dance calling which he had many fans.
He lived a few years in Cooperton, OK in a house that his stepdad remodeled for him. Most recently, Bill lived in the Tulsa/ Broken Bow area to be near his children.
No funeral is planned at this time. You are welcome to send condolences to his children by Facebook through William J Wright or Jessica Woodall or by mail to William Wright, 106 S Monroe, Hobart. OK 73651.
If Bill shared anything from his life, he would probably suggest NOT being involved with any to***co products and to remember those that helped you along the way without expecting anything back.

Class of '73. Sadly Robbie was the victim of a pedestrian/automobile accident across from CCMH at the entry to Cameron University. I have checked pretty much every day for his obituary. Prayers for him and his family.
