Things are looking a little different at our new location, and we’ve been getting asked over and over… “WHEN ARE YOU OPENING?!” 👀
I promise, we’re getting close! 🙌 We’ll be keeping everyone in the loop as we get closer, so stay tuned for more information and our official opening date! After years of hard work, growth, late nights, big dreams, and an incredible community standing behind us, we are finally getting closer to what we’ve been patiently waiting for our forever home. 🏠💜💚 This isn’t just a new building. It’s a new chapter for Team Dreadnought a place where we can continue to build confidence, create champions, make memories, and grow together for years to come.

Thank you to every single person who has supported us, believed in us, trained with us, shared our posts, cheered for our athletes, and helped us grow. ❤️ We couldn’t have gotten here without you!! The wait has been worth it… and we’re almost HOME. 🐙💜Stay tuned. The best is yet to come.

Moms and Dads…October 8-11 is going to be an insane opportunity for growth for your kids and teens who love the mat, who love to train and who excel in spaces where they are able to be challenged to grow!

We have ADCC Teen champs and event Coaches Mila Martorano (10th Planet) and Alexandre Cardinal alongside Coach Ray Machado leading the way for this summit! Expect Leadership Skill development and mindset sessions, Competition Master class and SO MUCH MORE!

Top it all off with our incredible award ceremony on Saturday where kids who complete the entire Summit will be called up to receive their award on the main stage!

Sunday pulls it all together with our Machado Invitational Tournament for kids, teens and adults, Gi and Nogi!
It’s an event weekend that will leave your cup full until we do it again April 2027!

Hi, Lawton area Parents! 👋🏼

Summer is over and back to school season has begun. You’ve already spent time preparing everything that your child will need from pens, paper, notebooks, books, and clothes. 📝 🖍️ 📚
But here’s the question: “Is your child ready to face the challenges that come with going back to school?”. We’re talking about standing up to bullies, gaining self confidence, speaking up in class, social decision making skills and a whole lot more…. Brazilian JiuJitsu can definitely help your child deal with these challenges.

Let’s talk about the things that enrolling your child at Dreadnought BJJ Academy can do for your child to keep them ready for school.

Attending classes at DBJJ Academy can improve your child’s self defense skills so that they can defend themselves if needed. Our highly qualified coaches will teach your child techniques, which will help them lessen the chance of getting hurt when/if bullies attack. JiuJitsu is not always about fighting, JiuJitsu can teach your child to de-escalate situations and prevent escalation. Children learn that he or she will only have to defend himself/herself physically when the need arises, it is the last resort.

These self defense skills will be ingrained into your child’s life and can be used in the future. HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT BECOMING PART OF THE DREADNOUGHT TEAM? 🐙 Now you can in more ways than one!

At Team Dreadnought, Jiu-Jitsu is our foundation for character development, discipline, confidence, and resilience and now we’re bringing that same mindset to the baseball field with our Junior Dreadnoughts Baseball Team!

We will be holding 12U Junior Dreadnoughts Baseball tryouts this Thursday, August 13 at 6:00 PM for the upcoming Fall Baseball Season.
📍 Location: Pritchard Field
⏰ Time: 6:00 PM
⚾️ Age: 12U

Tryouts will be approximately 2 hours and will include drills and player evaluations, followed by a mini scrimmage so we can see the players in game situations. Please have your player arrive ready to go with:

⚾️ Baseball gear
💧 Water
🔥 A positive attitude
💪 A willingness to work hard and be coached
We’re looking for athletes who want to grow not just as players, but as teammates, leaders, and young men and women who represent the Dreadnought family with pride.

Our academy will be closed Wednesday, 8/5 through Friday, 8/7 as we mourn the loss of someone who was incredibly special to our hearts. During this time, we will be attending her viewing and funeral services to honor her life and pay our respects. 🙏 We are truly grateful to everyone who has reached out with prayers, love, and condolences. Your support has meant so much to our family during this difficult time.

We will resume our regular schedule with Open Mat on Saturday 8/8 from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM. Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers. ♥️
