We wouldn’t be able to properly close this year’s state fair chapter without first highlighting one more member!

Our very own - Ella Ripley - exhibited her pigs at this year’s Missouri State Fair for the very first time. Ella spent the last two weeks in Sedalia caring for, fitting, and showing her pigs. Some notable achievements include:

🌟Berkshire Gilt: 9th in FFA show and 4th in open show - qualifying for the breed sale!
🌟Tamworth Gilt: 3rd in FFA show and 4th in open show.
🌟Crossbred Gilt: 4th in FFA show and 7th in open show.

We are so incredibly proud of Ella for diving into this new opportunity. Her hard work and passion towards her project has paid off! Congratulations!

177,000 meals packed - and Lawson FFA was proud to be part of it! 💙🌾

Today, 9 of our members traveled to the Missouri State Fair to participate in Drive to Feed Kids, a statewide effort bringing Missouri agriculture and community partners together to help fight food insecurity. Through meal-packing events like this one, meals are provided to Missouri children and families facing hunger.

Our morning shift packed around 177,000 meals, with a goal of reaching 250,000+ meals by the end of the event!

We’re proud to see our members put Living to Serve into action!

Cardinal Flight Night is your chance to step inside Lawson FFA and discover what it’s all about! All Lawson High School students are invited to join us Tuesday, August 18th from 6:00–7:30 PM in the High School Gym.

Come meet our current members, ask questions, explore the opportunities FFA has to offer, and find your place in our chapter. Whether you’ve been around agriculture your whole life or you’re completely new to it, there’s a place for you here.

We’re rooted in tradition, and growing the future - and we want YOU to be part of what comes next.

Lawson FFA is well-represented in the FFA Building at the Missouri State Fair! 🎡

This year, we had 9 students submit projects to be judged at the state fair. We had a total of 29 entries - congratulations to the following students for their hard work and dedication towards their projects!

Your FFA chapter officers were hard at work today during their officer retreat!

The team worked together to set goals for the year, developed a Program of Activities, and planned exciting events for the upcoming year. They even surprised Ms. Watkins with their matching t-shirts!

From our team to you, we are excited to carry out new and old traditions that will build leaders, strengthen our program, and leave a lasting impact on our school and community. We can’t wait to see what this year has in store!

Today was the swine show at the Ray County Fair, and our very own Ella Ripley exhibited her pigs there this morning!

Some amazing highlights of the day included:

🌟 5th Overall Senior Showman

We are so proud of Ella for all the the hard work, dedication, and passion she has poured into this project!
