π CMS Drama Double Feature
Join us on May 1st at 6:30 pm in the CMS Cafe for an unforgettable evening of theater featuring two distinct works from our talented middle school performers!
7th Grade: Hairball by Lindsey Price
Kick off the night with this quirky, fast-paced comedy. When a group of friends encounters an unexpectedly giant problem, hilarity ensues. Itβs a fun, high-energy exploration of friendship and the hairy situations life throws our way.
8th Grade: Modern Times: An Original Play
The second half of our double feature showcases a truly unique theatrical event. Modern Times is a completely original, devised play written, designed, and produced entirely by the 8th-grade class. From the initial script to the final tech cues, this production is a testament to their collaborative vision and creative voices.

"Houston, we have a... wait, that's just Officer Coward!" π
When Walnut Grove ES students got to chat with real astronauts on the ISS, our favorite SRO decided he wasn't going to be left grounded. He squeezed into this totally official deep-space pod and grabbed his 'highly sophisticated' communications device (okay, his police radio) to beam his regards to the stars.
The students were over the moon (and clearly a little amused) to see Officer Coward's commitment to celestial diplomacy. Let's just say his orbit is slightly more... terrestrial.
