Emily King drove in four runs on one hit to lead Brunswick Academy Varsity Vikings past Kenston Forest Varsity Kavaliers 12-1 on Saturday at Dinwiddie Sports Complex. In the fifth inning, King blasted a three-run home run to center field to help put the game away.

King was also dominant in the circle, striking out 10 batters while allowing just one run on six hits over seven innings and walking two.

Brunswick Academy Varsity Vikings got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after King grounded out to score a run and Hayden Hudson added a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.

Brunswick Academy Varsity Vikings added another run in the second inning when Riley Gee Griffin singled to center field, extending the lead to 3-0.

The Lady Vikings broke the game open in the third inning, scoring five runs on six hits. Kylie Walker singled in a run, Caylen Jackson added a sacrifice fly, Griffin singled home another run, and Aubrey Corum doubled to bring home two more runs.

Brunswick Academy Varsity Vikings finished with 15 hits on the day. Corum and Griffin each collected three hits, while Haley Reese, Hayden Hudson, and Olivia Evans added multiple hits in the championship victory.

The victory caps off an outstanding season for the Lady Vikings as they claim the VISAA Division III State Championship.
