Today’s drum lesson: placing the bass drum strokes on different subdivision.

He work on playing the bass drum strokes on 1 and 3; now he’s working on playing an extra 16th note on the “e” of 2. Once he gets that down pack; his next lesson is going to be: playing the same groove while playing the different subdivision on the hi-hat with the right hand like I’m doing. He’s a working progress but he is getting better every lesson.

Practicing rudiments before giving a drum lesson. Loosening these fingers. Playing para- diddles while playing quarter notes on my right foot and eight notes on my left. Starting BPM at 70 , next 75 to 80 then straight to 90. I mess up at the end. Keep on pushing myself; trying to break my limits and go beyond.
