Congrats to Prof. Dovilė Budrytė (Political Science) for her keynote presentation "Rethinking Crises: Memory, Identity, and Social Change in Central and Eastern Europe and Beyond" at the 32nd Nordic Network of Intercultural Communication 2026 Conference at Vilnius University in Vilnius, Lithuania, on August 17, 2026.

In her talk, Prof. Budrytė explained how moments of crisis can reshape collective memory and political identity. She highlighted that crises are not only disruptions to be managed. They can also spark new forms of social change and influence how communities understand themselves.

GGC is launching a new video series this summer that explores how different academic fields have changed over time and where they may be headed next. The first episode features a familiar face from the School of Liberal Arts. 🥳

Episode 1 highlights Dr. Marc Gilley, Associate Professor of Music and a longtime champion of the arts on our campus. The episode also features an original musical composition performed by Dr. Gilley and six GGC students.
