Talk about last minute postings! We're having our next class Feb 14th, Sat.,from 10-2:30 at Community of Grace in Grayson. Promise not to be mushy for Valentine's Day, but what a fun way to give gifts to loved ones! Contact me if interested

Setting things up for our next Saturday session on November 8th at Community of Grace. I'll be posting some ideas as I'm preparing. Let's make it a big day!!

Sorry to say but I have cancelled the July session for lack of sign-ups. I am having a Sat session on August 2nd at Comm. of Grace. Let's get those kids involved!

I don't think I've mentioned that all the crafts we are doing July 7th week will be new projects. Last year I repeated a lot of the projects between the 2 weeks, but decided there were enough good ideas that I could fill the week up. So I hope that we see some repeaters from the May session. See you soon!!

Creative Kids Week

A week of fun and creativity focusing on the wonderful challenges of
Recycling Art
Kerri Lawton (678-914-5599) will be hosting week sessions this summer held at:
Community of Grace, 1200 Athens Hwy, Grayson, Ga.
The 1st week (4 days) will be May 27th to May 30th, 2014,
We are splitting the classes up by ages.
Ages 4 to 8 will attend from 9:30 am to 12:30
Ages 9 –15 will attend from 1;00pm to 4:00. (Special circumstances considered).
The 2nd week will be held July 7th – July 11th, 2014. Same schedule, if all goes well, as the 1st week.
Please bring a mid-session snack; drinks will be provided.

The cost is $50 per child,($40 for the 4 day week in May) with a discount provided for families with more than 2 children (1 free).
We are asking for $25. non-refundable advance by May 15th for the
1st week session and by July 1st for the 2nd session.

I'm getting excited for the next week of fun and creativity! July 7th is coming soon! A lot of unique projects planned so here I go with my request from my recycling friends:
I've been cleaning out my garage and found many pending, small projects. So I thought, why not have the kids finish them for me. So I'm asking for friends and family to dig deep in the closets and shelves for those forgotten projects. You know we'll make good use of it.
paper rolls of any size
tin cans, especially larger ones
glass jars or bottles
tubes with metal ends (such as juice mix containers)
plastic spoons
any length if copper wire
pencils or dowel pieces
large bobbie pins
cereal boxes
sturdy water bottles
large handled plastic jugs
If I need to make more request, I'll add it soon as I know, it takes time to collect these.

We had a great week with a dozen happy, creative kids! We had such a great response from everyone. Looking forward to the next session in July!

Recycled items needed for Kerri’s Creative Kids

Small red, white and blue items such as caps, buttons, bread ties/clips, etc.
Cereal boxes, multi-colored paper (to be rolled)
2 liter bottles
Cardboard (different thickness needed)
Old barn wood
Old maps and large paged books (to be dissected)
Plastic lids of different sizes and colors
Cardboard egg cartons

What fun, what fun!!
The 1st week for our summer sessions will be on May 27th to the 30th. The classes will be separated by ages: 4 years old up to 8 years old will be held 9:30 to 12:30.
The 9 years old to 15 years old will be held from 1:00 until 4:00.

The 2nd week will be from July 7th to the 11th. If all goes well with the separate classes the 1st week, we will have the same schedule.

The fee will be $40. per child for the week in May (short 1 day because of Memorial Day that Monday) and $50. per child for the July week. Bring a 3rd child for free either week. Bring a snack for mid-session break. Drinks provided.

Location is at the Community of Grace Church in Grayson Ga. 1200 Athens Hwy. 30017. I will have registration forms to download soon.
