North Metro Weekday Preschool and Kindergarten

Dear North Metro CDC Family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share some heartbreaking news about one of our cherished long-time teachers. Our beloved Cindy Younginer Costley, who was diagnosed with cancer in January, passed away this week. Her loss has left us all deeply shocked and heartbroken.

Mrs. Costley dedicated 21 incredible years to North Metro, retiring in 2020 after pouring her heart and soul into teaching and inspiring countless students. Her love for her work and her unwavering passion for education made her a truly extraordinary teacher. She touched lives in profound and lasting ways, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.

To remember Mrs. Costley and celebrate her life, there will be an informal gathering on Saturday, April 5th, from 2:00-3:00 in the Fireside Room at North Metro.

Our annual “teacher work day.” It was bittersweet this year since we won’t be coming back in the fall. It was still a very nice morning getting to all be together one last time.

End of the year festivities…

The final graduating class of North Metro Baptist Church Christian Kindergarten 2023! 

Today we had our last Chapel together. For years, we have looked forward to Wednesdays when all the older kids get to go to chapel, where we get to sing to the Lord, say our pledges, recite Bible verses, hear a Bible story, and learn our Bible facts… And, of course, hear a funny knock knock joke from Mrs Scates!  It’s been a very special part of our week. We will miss it. Thank you Mrs. Scates for leading us each week. We love you!

We made it to Z Week! Seems like just yesterday we were on the letter A…

A big thank you to Ms. Lisa for planning and directing our final music program…”Sing for Spring.” I’m sure Ms. Jan was smiling and singing along in heaven! It was a sweet performance! 🎶
