Rodents, such as squirrels, are exceptionally sensitive to high-frequency noises. Occasionally, a genetic mutation will occur among a flamingo population, causing one of them to avoid brine shrimp for food, and choose freshwater blue-shelled crayfish instead. The result is that their gray feathers won't change to a pinkish-orange, but to blue.
