Just a week ago, our amazing Pre-K scholars graduated! They are ready for Kindergarten! Some will be returning to McKendree UMC for Kindergarten, but many will go to new schools, new friends, and new adventures. We will miss this talented group, but we wish them all the best!

We definitely want to thank all the amazing teachers who have worked with these students over their time at McKendree UMC. They love and support these children so deeply. Thank you, teachers!

Move over, 6-7. It's time for 4-5! These two cuties were spotted sitting together in Chapel, and they know that at McKendree it's always been 4-5, never 6-7!

It's always bittersweet to say goodbye at the end of the school year. It's especially hard when we've known some of our kids from the very beginning of their school days. About a week and a half ago, we celebrated our wonderful Kindergarten class, taught by Miss Erin, Miss Widline, and Miss Lauren. They are off to do grand things in their lives. Dr. Seuss said it best, "Oh! The places you'll go!" Come back and see us, Kindergarten! We love you!

The end of the school year brings all sorts of fun activities, including the water play day for the toddlers and 2-year-old classes. Bubbles, water tables, and treats, oh my!

Come help us harvest our garden this summer! We want to share!

It's an organic garden. Come when you want to - any day or time of day! Harvest/Pick only when the fruit/vegetable is ripe.

Tomatoes
Peas
Cilantro
Bibb Lettuce

The garden is at the back of the church building.

All of us at McKendree are mourning the passing of one of our sweet 2-year-old students, Maxence. Max had such a light around him. His darling smile and energy will be missed by all of us who have been blessed to know him. Losing a child is something no one wants to experience, and we are keeping Max's family and friends in our hearts and prayers.
