UGA Gwinnett was buzzing with innovation recently as we hosted DrPH Day alongside the UGA College of Public Health! 🐾🩺
This event was a wonderful showcase of our Doctor of Public Health program’s mission to take academic theory and put it into practice. Our students blew us away with their poster sessions and "TEDx-style" presentations—proving that they aren't just students, they are the next generation of public health authorities.
We were also privileged to hear from Debra Lubar, President of the Milbank Memorial Fund. Her keynote address was a powerful call to action for our scholars to lead with confidence and find new, impactful ways to share data with the world.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this day of inspiration and professional growth!

What an incredible day at UGA Gwinnett! 🔴⚫️
Last month, we successfully hosted the UGA Organization Coaching Symposium, bringing together the best minds in the field to explore the future of leadership.
Whether it was learning about Nature-Based Coaching or exploring "Hybrid Intelligence" with our keynote speaker, Dr. Terrence E. Maltbia, the day was packed with "aha!" moments. Our goal was to bridge the gap between coaching theory and daily practice—and thanks to our amazing attendees and speakers, we did just that!
Check out the highlights:
✅ 9 Specialized Breakout Sessions
✅ Leadership Assessment Workshops (DISC, MBTI, & more)
✅ Interactive Warm Data Labs
Did you attend? Tell us your favorite session in the comments! 👇

Our Educational Leadership doctoral students spent the morning with the incredible Dr. Gene Bottoms on Saturday, March 21. As a "Double Dawg" with a master’s and doctorate from the University of Georgia, Dr. Bottoms returned to his roots to lead a lively discussion on his book, Tomorrow’s High School.
Dr. Bottoms has spent over six decades dedicated to education, including a transformative 31-year tenure at the Southern Regional Education Board. His legacy continues not just through his research, but through the Bottoms Family Foundation, which supports our students in their mission to prepare middle and high schoolers for postsecondary success.
We are so proud to have alumni like Dr. Bottoms who continue to invest in the future of leadership at UGA! 🐾
