That smile says it all. ๐
At Friendship Forest Academy, we work hard to create an environment where every child feels safe, understood, and free to justโฆ be themselves.
For many of our students, that means sensory-friendly spaces, predictable routines, and teachers who genuinely take the time to understand how each child experiences the world around them.
When kids feel regulated and at ease, learning happens naturally. And smiles like this one? They're the best part of our day.
If you're looking for a school that truly gets your child, we'd love to meet your family. ๐

Let's talk ADHD. ๐ง โก
There are SO many myths floating around โ here are a few we'd love to clear up:
โ MYTH: ADHD is just an excuse for bad behavior.
โ
FACT: ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition affecting attention, impulse control, and executive function โ not character.
โ MYTH: Kids with ADHD just need more discipline.
โ
FACT: Kids with ADHD need support, structure, and strategies โ not punishment for how their brain works.
โ MYTH: ADHD isn't real.
โ
FACT: ADHD is one of the most well-researched neurological conditions in the world.
Your child is not broken. Their brain is built differently โ and that's actually pretty amazing. ๐

Summer + sensory-friendly outdoor fun = the perfect combo! ๐
A few of our favorite outdoor activities that tend to work beautifully for neurodivergent kids:
๐ฟ Nature scavenger hunts (check off leaves, rocks, bugs!)
๐ง Sprinkler or water table play in the yard
๐จ Sidewalk chalk โ big open space, no pressure
๐ Bug hunting with a magnifying glass
๐ฅพ Short trail walks with a special "explorer kit"
The key? Follow your child's lead. If they want to spend 45 minutes watching ants... that IS the activity. ๐
Drop your family's favorite outdoor summer activity in the comments! ๐

What does it mean to be neurodivergent? ๐ง โจ
Neurodivergence is an umbrella term for brains that think, learn, and experience the world differently โ including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, sensory processing differences, and more.
There is no single "right" way for a brain to work. And at Friendship Forest Academy, we believe that difference is something to celebrate โ not correct.
Every learner in our Forest is seen, supported, and celebrated exactly as they are. ๐

Two more days. ๐ In these final moments of the school year, we find ourselves reflecting on just how much has happened inside these walls this year.
The quiet victories. The big breakthroughs. The moments where a student tried something scary and nailed it. The times a child who once struggled to connect reached out and made a friend. This is what it's all about. This is why we do what we do every single day.
We are so grateful for this community. See you tomorrow for one more day of magic! ๐ฟ
