Friday, September 18, is a Digital Learning Day (DLD) for all students. On scheduled Digital Learning Days, students access lessons in Google Classroom through their Launchpad/Student Portal but may not have virtual class time with their teachers.

To ensure that students have a nutritious meal to fuel their learning, our bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver meals prepared by the School Nutrition Program staff. Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. These delivered meals are provided at no cost to families and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under.

GCPS Parent Mentors invite parents of students receiving special education services at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school) to attend a four-session workshop, “Families Engaging in Education.”

The workshop aims to nurture and empower families by equipping them to positively support their child’s academic journey. To receive full benefit from this workshop, participants are encouraged to attend ALL four sessions.

The workshop sessions will take place on the following days:

September 1, 2026
September 30, 2026
October 20, 2026
November 17, 2026

The first session on Tuesday, September 1, will take place from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Rd., in the Central Gwinnett Room (2.111), in Building 200.

The virtual session will be hosted on Zoom from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
