Back by popular demand! My virtual 3-session class for parents returns this July. Please share with parents of high school juniors and seniors!
An Interactive Virtual Class for Parents of High School Juniors & Seniors!
It’s a challenge to make sure your teen is prepared for the life skills college requires. After you’ve advocated for your child for 18 years, colleges will view your student as a capable adult. In reality, many first-years are unprepared for independent living and learning without the scaffolding of home.
Dr. Brenner’s three-session virtual class is here to help. Attendees will gain a complete list of the critical life skills their college-bound students should master before leaving home and tools for teaching these skills. Parents will learn strategies to help guide their teen toward independent problem solving, building resilience after setbacks, and creating space for their own personal and intellectual discoveries.
Three sessions with flexible dates:
Session One: Change is Coming! Preparing Teens for College Expectations
Session Two: Helping Your Teen Build Life Skills Before Leaving Home
Session Three: Defining Your New Role as a Soon-to-be College Parent
