Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to you out there! We here at this page do not celebrate the holiday for the pilgrims and native Americans, we understand the true history of the interchange between the two groups. We use the day as a meeting time together as family to exchange stories and a meal. No strings attached and no judgments.

I don’t post as much or give this page much attention. I have been making our courses on our other pages like the Amish of Ethridge and Amish and Mennonite of Tennessee. I will come over here on occasions to post just to keep it going until I can spend more time here.

Food can be a cultural experience as so many cooks have made recipes out of common ingredients. Have your kids to safely chop vegetables 🥕 and experiment with recipes that use the ingredients around you

We are still making our courses for our Amish and Mennonite pages and have not turned to this page yet. Since this page will be heavily focused on the home schooling parent, we are also watching for the political climate as there is a lot of negativity going around in our society. We love people of many colors and distinctions but sadly our leaders want a universal strictness to be the only voice allowed.

Snapchat filters can be a fun way to show that AI features are fake but can be entertaining. This may ease the anxiety of people that look a bit to perfect online and how AI or generated video can help kids understand their bodies are ok and how their mental health affects may not be as troubling to them. I believe we can have our toys and be ok ✅ with them once we refuse to compare ourselves with others.

Take the kids to see how sourgum molasses is made with the horse that walks around in a circle. It’s really neat and you can get a jar of it once they are done. It does take a few hours so they can practice their patience while they watch!

So many people will sit in traffic or in waiting rooms or somewhere everyday. When schools are out the roads are empty as babysitters and those who watch kids will be busy. Their breaks are when the roads should be more full and vacation times in full swing as we take kids to see places we don’t have time for during the year. I believe we adults rely to much on the school system to take kids on field trips as we take them along on our vacation spots as an excuse for a family vacation.

Having to make tough decisions about the direction your child may need to go is very hard on parents. When autism or neurodivergence occur on this shade that seems to be changing colors, it’s easy to think the professionals are just making things up. I wonder how
many of us feel this way?
