Meet Abby for this week’s 🌟 She’s an Accounting major and studied abroad in Costa Rica. She shared that her favorite part of the trip was visiting a coffee farm called Café Monteverde (picture 1 and 5). “Here my group and I picked coffee berries during a tour of the coffee fields and learned about the farm’s history of sustainability practices”. She also mentioned that on a night jungle walk, she caught a glimpse of CR’s vast biodiversity, including tarantulas, an olingo (which is in the racoon family), vampire bats, and more. Meet Kiersten for this week's She is a Business Administration major and studied abroad in Panama last Spring. Here is what she said about her adventure "This is a photo of me and Amber at the waterfalls near an indigenous peoples village we visited. This was my favorite day of the trip and a memory I will truly never forget. We got to swim in the waterfall and after we went to the village. Their we learned about the Peru Blakiru tribe’s history, saw them practice medicine, watched a traditional dance, and have a traditional meal of a pocket of fish and plantains with the people."
