Hilltop Child Development Center

We are thrilled to officially welcome our new Executive Director, Cori Berg, to the Hilltop family! With 27 years of experience in early childhood education, Cori brings a deep passion and commitment to nurturing children, supporting families, and empowering educators.
Throughout her career, she has served as a teacher, director, trainer, speaker, and consultant, and continues to be an active voice in the field. Her wealth of experience and thoughtful leadership make her a wonderful addition to our community.
Cori started on Monday and is currently getting to know Hilltop—its families, values, and vibrant spirit—and she’s excited to be part of shaping the next chapter of our center’s future.

The Prairie Dogs harvested their lavender and herbs and made bouquets today. What a lovely activity on such a beautiful day.

Our Bumblebee class is growing one of Daisy Hill Gardens tomato plants and it’s doing fantastic. Time to put it in its forever pot soon.

Hilltop’s Daisy Hill Garden is continuing the tradition of kids helping kids with our donation of all our extra plant sale vegetable plants to USD 497’s farm to school garden program. Plants started at Hilltop will be tended at schools all over Lawrence and greet the Jayhawks and Bobcats when they return to their schools in the fall. Thank you to Pantaleon for coordinating the donation!

Talk about creativity! Glue, shaving cream and color. Add some glitter and the Meadowlarks ice cream looks good enough to eat. Amazing job.

It was circus day in our school age classroom. Tents and circus posters galore.

The end of the school year has come and gone and everyone is excited for another awesome summer at Hilltop.
