Pat and I went out on Tuesday for a sail according to the weather people it was supposed to be 10 mph wind, we were looking forward to it. I don't think there was a 10 mph gust all day. It was a beautiful day until it wasn't. If you live around Lawrence you know yesterday evening was quite electrical storm. Very impressive bolts of lightning, I made it home, started grilling hamburgers it didn't start raining until the last flip. The skies were very noisy the whole time. My phone overheated and shut down RunKeeper so it didn't track where we went through the Hobie Cat Marina on the far side of the lake so I probably lost an hour of the tracking.

Went sailing today it was very light winds like really light winds. Had a great time with John and Pat. I bought a Garden tractor yesterday. I refuse to buy used equipment. I've had two garden tractors in the last 36 years bought new. The problem is plastic degenerates after that amount of time and falls apart. This has got 1,000 hour warranty on the major parts and a Kawasaki motor so you got to like that.

Went sailing this morning at 11, imagine that. It was pretty Gusty when we went out so we reefed the main sail and dropped the head Sail mostly because we hadn't put in a reef on the main Sail before. Of course the wind died down after we did that.saw quite a bit of rain coming so we went in stowed everything in its appropriate place and it started raining. I didn't take any actual pictures of the sail so I put in some pictures of the weekend bonfire the little girls built. Comments on pictures.

Great day to go cruising Thursday. Thinking about going out in the evening on Monday for Tuesday.

Thursday was a beautiful day for a sail. We cruised to the wonderful sounds of the Wizards of Kansas 15 track album. Really good sailing music.

I was sweating working on my garden tractor when I received a phone call from Pat. Said p**s on this and went sailing. Had a great time. It was pretty calm when we went out and just as we were getting ready to say screw it and go back in, the wind kicked up. Hopefully tomorrow, it will be 30 mph gusts when I work on the garden tractor. Go Chiefs. Next Saturday, the 5th, my band the Kaw Vipers will be playing at The Gaslight Gardens North Lawrence, starting at 5:00. I guarantee a good time. Come on out. Let's pack the place. no cover charge.

Went out Friday and spread some of Mitchell Walther's ashes in the Gulf of Kansas. Then listened to a good Grateful Dead cover band in the parking lot of the marina. There was barely any Breeze until we spread the ashes and then a nice breeze kicked up for us. thanks Mitch.
