Some days change us forever.

On October 7, 2023, our world was shaken by unimaginable loss and heartbreak. Today, our Lev mishpacha holds close those whose lives were taken, the families who continue to carry that pain, and everyone still waiting and hoping for healing.

May their memories be a blessing, may we continue to choose courage over fear, and may our children grow up knowing the strength, love, and resilience of our people.

Tonight, our community came together for a deeply meaningful conversation with Chen Almog, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival, as we reflected on the horrors of October 7th and the three years that have followed.

We are grateful to Chen for sharing her story, her courage, and her strength with our community. Her words reminded us of the importance of remembering, of bearing witness, and of standing together.

May we continue to honor those whose lives were forever changed, keep their memories close, and pray for brighter days ahead.

This October, Lev Jewish Academy is honored to bring two powerful and deeply personal experiences to our community.

Tuesday, October 6 | 7:30 PM
๐ŸŽค Chen Almog, Nova Festival Survivor
Chen will share her firsthand story of surviving the October 7 attack at the Nova Music Festival and the journey that followed.
Open to 7th grade & up and the Greater Five Towns community.

Sunday, October 18 | 7:30 PM
๐ŸŽค Wounded IDF Soldiers from El Ami
Hear directly from wounded IDF soldiers as they share their experiences, their challenges, and their journeys of courage and resilience.
Open to 6th grade & up and the Greater Five Towns community.

Our 4th graders explored the meaning of Yom Kippur โ€“ ื™ื•ื ื›ื™ืคื•ืจ, learning about different types of Aveirot โ€“ ืขื‘ื™ืจื•ืช and how we can make things right.

We learned that Teshuvah โ€“ ืชืฉื•ื‘ื” means recognizing our mistakes, asking for forgiveness, and choosing to do better. ๐Ÿค

A meaningful lesson about forgiveness, responsibility, and the power to begin again.
