Every student at ALA is expected to complete 25 hours of community service each year, totaling 100 by graduation.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Today we’d like to celebrate Jay, from the ALA Class of 2026. Jay, an aspiring pediatrician, will be attending Tufts University next year, studying Biology on the Pre-Med track. As a result of Jay’s hard work and commitment to his education, he earned a scholarship through QuestBridge, which covers his upcoming four years at Tufts - fully! Please join us in congratulating Jay on his successes! We look forward to seeing what he does in the future.

This past Friday, Wilson, from the ALA Class of 2027, attended Student Government Day at the Massachusetts State House. In addition to having the opportunity to interact with students from other MA high schools and state leaders like Senator Pavel Payano, Wilson was one of ten students to serve as a Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court as part of the day’s activities.

We are beyond proud to celebrate one of our outstanding students for an extraordinary achievement!

After years of hard work, determination, and citizenship, Luz, our Senior Class President, has been accepted to three Ivy League institutions: Harvard College, Princeton University, and Yale College.

Please join us in congratulating Luz on this incredible achievement! She plans to pursue a career in engineering in hopes of joining the 2% of Latina engineers in the United States. The future is bright, and we know this is just the beginning. 🌟

On Tuesday, April 7, from 5:00pm-8:00pm, we will be having our second annual Family Wellness Night at ALA. At Family Wellness Night, you will have the opportunity to learn from a student panel, expert guest speakers, and a number of community parters. The event will focus on mental health, wellness, and how to better support your child as they navigate the challenges of high school.

This past Thursday we welcomed over 530 members of the ALA community to our new home at the NCEC! It was so great to see so many excited students, families, and community members at Back to School Night. Students and families should check their emails for important reminders for our first day of school tomorrow!
