Recitals last week were beautiful. From our youngest (4) and newest (less than 6 months!) to our oldest (graduating seniors) and most advanced (winner of KMTA), everyone put so much time and heart into preparing. I hope all our students are as proud of their performances as we are!

PS don’t forget to sign up for summer lessons! Or email us to sign up for beginner groups, happening in June!

As you’re making your summer plans, remember that we offer week-long beginner classes! They are a perfect way to give your child a chance to explore piano. After the week is over, they can move to private lessons for the rest of the summer, or we can plan on seeing them again for a group class in the fall!

First practice recitals were this past weekend! Performance is its own skill, and our practice recitals make a huge difference in learning how to navigate the physical and mental difficulties that come with it. If you weren’t able to attend a practice recital this week, we encourage you to play for a group class during your lesson this week!

It’s recital week for our group classes! They are all getting to show off their progress to family and friends, from our kindergarteners who started in January, performing unison pieces and short improvisation, to our older students doing four-part ensembles, comping chords, and composing pieces. Novelty pens and pencils for all — and plenty of applause :)
