Brandl received her MFA from Ohio State in 2009 and her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2006. She is currently a guest professor at KCAI and was an NCECA featured emerging artist in 2017.

In less than one week, Matt Wedel will be visiting the University of Kansas! Join us in a warm welcome as Matt demonstrates and discusses his work next Monday and Tuesday. All events are free to the public and will be held in Chalmers 110.

9/9 - Demo 9-11am, 2-5pm. Lecture 1-2pm.
9/10 - Demo 8:30-10:30am, 1-5pm.

Got the arches dropped out, back wall and door built, and a clay coating on the pizza kiln today. Almost time to try it out!

The kiln building class is working on installing a new woodfired brick pizza oven on West campus as practice for the future kilns. (And of course for the pizza.) The arch form is built, chimney is on its way, bricks are sorted, and the concrete pad was poured and signed today. Bricks will be layed on Tuesday!
