Lawrence Free State Debate & Forensics

The birds made a trip to Minnesota this weekend!

Dara and Breahna represented Free State in OO and Penny represented Free State in Info! We are so incredibly proud of all of these students for qualifying to and competing at the NIETOC. Dara qualified as a FRESHMAN and this is Penny's & Breahna's second time competing at NIETOC!

Shoutout to Natalie for driving the squad in the district mini van all weekend! Shoutout to Cici for judging supps for us! Shoutout to Stella for pulling up spectate and learn for next year! Shoutout to the Mall of America side quest! Shoutout to the many, many rounds we played of Flip 7!

Our 2025-2026 banquet was a success!

We celebrated our students who competed at the DCI, KDC, Novice Debate State, 2-Speaker & 4-Speaker Debate State, Forensics State Festival, as well as our CHAMPION Forensics State team (7th time in a row!)

Big congrats to our students who qualified to and competed at the TOC and NIETOC! Our birds will be headed to Richmond, VA for NSDA next in June!

We handed out MANY letters to our AMAZING team members and gave out a few special awards!

We also gave speeches to celebrate our coaches & seniors! Our coaches are amazing and have put in a lot of work to help our students be so successful! We're also going to miss our senior class a lot.
