The Baby and Toddler Sing and Sign courses target enhancing and supporting the communication of infants and toddlers through songs, signs, and play. Participants will attend a series of 4 classes (45-minutes each) taught by Erin Lawrence, a licensed Baby and Toddler Sing and Sign instructor. Each class will build upon the last, reviewing previous signs, songs, and activities as well as introducing new signs, songs, and activities. Sign language is a fantastic tool to use with young children as it enables them to express wants and needs, make requests, and overall decreases frustration. Baby and Toddler Sing and Sign are great parent-child opportunities for social interactions, age-appropriate learning experiences, and FUN! Erin brings a rich background in early childhood development to her Baby Sing and Sign classes. She has an undergraduate degree in speech pathology and a master's degree in early childhood special education and deaf education. Erin taught preschool for 10 years, working with children with special needs, and used sign language extensively in her classroom. As a mother of twins, she has also had the opportunity to experience language development as a parent and is now excited to be sharing the early learning experiences of participants in Baby and Toddler Sing and Sign classes!
