KU Pharm.D. candidate Joseph Parks just wrapped up a truly one‑of‑a‑kind APPE rotation at the Kansas State Veterinary Health Center.

From foals and cattle to diabetic house cats and even zoo animals, Joseph spent a month working alongside veterinarians and veterinary students to learn how pharmacy impacts animal health.

This unique rotation encourages a deeper appreciation for interprofessional care, and a new perspective on what pharmacists can do.

Joseph will graduate in May 2026 and begin a PGY1 residency in acute care at the University of Iowa.
