🎭 Quick story…
I used to dread writing sub plans for drama.
Worksheets didn’t fit. Rehearsal with a sub? Risky. And “just keep them busy” never sat right with me.
So I created something better.

Terrific!

In last year's reimagination of Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray," actress Sarah Snook played all 26 roles. She won a Tony Award for her performance. The Library for the Performing Arts filmed the production at the Music Box Theatre in June 2025, and it's now accessible at the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive.

I thought you might enjoy the sounds of the waves as they push against the ship. Are you an ocean or mountain person?

I enjoy both, but of course enjoy the ocean in the winter months because it’s cold at home now. I always say that if we can get thru January in the Midwest then the rest of the year is livable.

Teacher friends, this is how it turned out!

My husband and I love to write for this time of the year. Tim always composes short songs
for my multicultural folk tale readers theater.
One of our favorite radio theater scripts is The Monkeys Paw—the sound effects
we created are just awesome.
Last year, we crated Rudolph the Rappin’ Reindeer,
But this year? I thought we needed to feature Mrs. Claus. ⭐️
The story- Only one day before Christmas Eve, the elves discover that Santa’s magical suit has shrunk! A frantic team of reindeer, elves, and Mrs. Claus tries everything—from sewing disasters to “unjingling” Jingle Bells—in an attempt to save Christmas. With witty characters, playful dialogue, and an upbeat ending, students will love performing this holiday.

It was such fun to write.
Are you a Mrs. Claus fan?
