Our annual Mayfest is this Friday May 1st! ☀️🌻🌺✨️🌈
We will also be water color painting Mothers Day cards on behalf of Englewood Florists! They will send these hand painted mother's day cards to moms in care giving roles and would love the authentic touch that children's painting can bring :) the activity had Early Childhood in mind but all ages are welcome, parents and teens included!
This will be a joyful event for all ages! Bring a picnic for you and your loved ones, fly kites and make flower crowns, and dance around the maypole with our community!

It seems like everyday our students our developing in ways well beyond our imaginations! Our 5th and 6th graders are learning multiple instruments and the speed at which they pick things up blows us all away.

The last performance of the Chinese New Year festival + Exhibition of Skills - the 7th & 8th graders!
Each grade performed, with the skills and songs displayed becoming increasingly challenging with each grade. The 7th & 8th graders had the most songs and activities to memorize as well!
This was cool to see, and the interaction between the older grades kids and the littles had us like 🥹
One of the things we loved about our Mandarin Exhibition of Skills was that all the grades got to work on and show off completely different activities! Here are our 5th and 6th graders with their first activity, the cup flip game 👏

We shared the 1st and 2nd graders last week, we'll share the 5th/6th and 7th/8th later this week! Our new Chinese New Year festival was such a success!

Our 1st & 2nd graders performing the Mandarin songs they learned with our Mandarin teacher, Ms Aichen Zhang! Recently we had our Exhibition of Skills, where our students share everything they've been learning lately!
This was the first time this was paired with a Chinese New Festival, led by ms Zhang and complete with traditional Chinese food for our parents.
We had so much fun ringing in the new year with all of you! Keep checking back for more Mandarin songs and performances by our students!

They're performing Into the Woods, a musical, tonight at 6pm at the school! Our location has been added to this reel 🤗 more details about the show to follow in a second post later today!

They recently completed their US Geography block on Hawai'i, looking at the physical Geography and ecosystem of the Hawaiian islands, while continuing to perfect their ukele skills ✨️
The class wrote pen pal letters to 3 schools in Hawai'i: On the island of Oahu they wrote to , on Maui they wrote to , and on the Big Island they wrote to !
