Prairie Moon Waldorf School Welcome! We offer Waldorf education from preschool through middle school in Lawrence, KS.

Using the Waldorf education approach, Prairie Moon Waldorf School seeks to develop unique individual qualities and healthy relationships among children so that their lives are imbued with both free initiative and a sense of social responsibility. We utilize an integrated curriculum that educates the “head, heart and hands” through academic, artistic and practical work and recognizes Nature’s laws, patterns, seasons, cycles and rhythms as the basis of all learning. Through a community-wide process we developed our Mission and Vision statements:

Vision Statement: We celebrate an evolving consciousness that honors spirit, cultivates freedom, and fosters harmony with the natural world. Mission Statement: We educate children to embody truth, beauty, and goodness by inspiring minds, opening hearts, and empowering hands.

Congrats, grads! 8th Grade Class of 2026 🙌 🎓 You did it!

Today our 8th graders officially graduated, and their teacher Miss Talleuer is sending off the class she has held since 1st grade. This is the beauty of Waldorf Education, where grief and joy can stand alongside each other as we welcome what's next with open arms!

We couldn't be prouder of you! We can't wait to see what you will do in the world 💫

Thank you as well to all of the 8th grade parents and families who volunteered over the years and put their love, hands, and hearts into Prairie Moon! We will miss you!

Here's to new adventures! 🌎
