**A LITTLE ABOUT OUR OWNER**

Sandra Griffin and her family moved to Lawrence, KS in the mid-90's with the goal of settling down and growing in their careers. As she involved herself more and more in her four children's educations though, she noticed that she desired to be more hand's on! In order to do so, she thought it best to create a place where her children didn't simply learn at the kitchen table but in a school-like atmosphere. Starting with a few tables, crayons, and paper, Sandra began working out the details of her dream by opening up her home to friends and family members as a place they could safely send their children during the day! As she began to take education courses and teach the young minds, she learned that there was a need in the community for daycare centers to do more than just watch children throughout the day-they needed to learn! From that moment on, Sandra expanded her idea from simply a friends and family daycare to a full-fledged business. Going from 3 children to 12, Creative Minds was born! Sandra has been teaching for over 20 years now and she makes it a personal goal to provide quality care and learning experience to every child that enters her doors!
